What nutritional advice would a fashion model give?

We caught up with the gorgeous Sarah Ann Macklin who is a qualified nutritionist and fashion model.

She has great ambitions for nutrition, having founded the non-profit organisation, Be Well Collective (bewellcollective.co.uk) which aims to improve the nutritional and wellbeing of fashion models.

She’s also recently launched The Great British Veg Out campaign (sarahannmacklin.com/gbvo) which challenges Brits to eat more fruit and vegetables.

What made you chose to become a nutritionist? 

It wasn’t until I was 18 that I began to focus solely on modelling and in visiting New York, I was first exposed to the many sides of modelling that were far from glamorous. Erratic eating behaviours and mental health problems were common amongst very young girls, who were thrown into a lifestyle in which they had to grow up quickly – and without the guidance that they needed. It was at that point that I began to question where their (and my) support system was.
